Clinic procedure for new patients
Our Clinic procedure for New Patients is generally comprised of a two or three day process. This procedure ensures that the Dr. Barbara Rodwin knows everything about your case history, and it also allows for you to become more familiar with chiropractic.
CHIROPRACTIC FORM- please return forms to office 24hours before first appointment
| Day 1: Consultation |
During this visit Dr. Rodwin will discuss and evaluate your current condition, as well as your past medical history. A brief spinal examination will be performed. If required, you may be asked to have x-rays taken. We ask that you have them taken before your second visit, and bring them with you. |
| Day 2: Exam |
This visit involves a comprehensive investigative examination to check spinal movements, and ranges of motion to identify specific problem areas. This is a neurological as well as musculoskeletal exam. The first part of the exam will be performed by my Kinesiologist Keri-Lyn. |
| Day 3: Report of findings (ROF) |
Upon leaving this visit you will have a full understanding of your problem, spinal health, and chiropractic treatments. Keri-Lyn will be reviewing your exam findings and your x-rays with you. This is the longest, but most important, visit. Your treatments will commence on this visit. |
ORTHOTICS
Our clininc procedure for New Patients is generally comprised of a one day consultation. Before your first visit you will be asked to fill out a form to allow Keri-Lyn, our Kinesiologist, time to review your file to ensure she knows everything about your condition. The consultation entails a computerized footscan, gait analysis and report of findings. During this consultation a shoe analysis/check and assessment of existing orthotics will be performed to ensure a proper fit. If new orthotics are warrented a discussion and heel lift assessment will be performed. At this time a stretching and/or a stregthening program may be given to aid in the solution of the
complaint.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Our clinic procedure for New Patients is generally comprised of an assesment period prior to your first appointment. This assessment will allow the Massage Therapists time to review your case history, perform any required tests and ask any questions before treatment begins. Every new patient is asked to fill out a form and return it to the office at least 10 minutes before your first visit. This will ensure that your appointment will start on time.
