Scoliosis
When the spine twists or curves to one side this called a scoliosis. Approximately 90% of the cases are of unknown origin. Scoliosis puts an excessive amount of pressure on the spine. Causes include pelvic imbalance, spasm of back muscles, a habitual asymmetric posture or it can be congenital.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic adjustments remove neurological interference allowing the body to function optimally. Scoliosis is often accompanied my muscle stiffness. Soft tissue techniques are used to relax the muscles and increase the patient's range of motion.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy decreases pain by increasing circulation to tight muscles and by reducing trigger points. Massage additionally increases mobility of the spine, reduces muscle imbalances, and strengthens stretched structures.
